What We Believe
- We accept the Bible consisting of 66 Books, as God’s Holy Word, inspired, inerrant, and infallible.
- We believe the Bible to be God’s written revelation of Himself to mankind and our guide in all matters of faith; therefore, we look to the Bible as our highest authority for doctrine, practice, organization, and discipline.
- We affirm that there is one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, the physical miracles He performed, His atoning death upon the Cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory at His second coming.
- We profess that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of sinful mankind. We believe the sinner is brought to an awareness of the need for salvation through the convicting work of the Holy Spirit. We believe that in sanctification by the blood of Christ, one is made holy. We affirm the present, active ministry of the Holy Spirit who guides the Church and by whose indwelling and empowerment we are able to live godly lives and render effective service to God and others.
- We believe that all people are created with dignity and great value in the image of God, and that people were created to live in a thriving relationship with God. However, through our sin (failing to live by God’s moral standards), we break our intended relationship with God and we experience the sad consequences of that broken relationship, both spiritually and socially. However, because of God’s love for us, He sent His Son, Jesus, to rescue us from those consequences and to restore our broken relationship with God, through Jesus´ death on the cross, a perfect act of redemption for each of us. We receive the free gift of forgiveness and are spiritually reborn through repenting (changing our mind and heart) of our sin and placing faith in Jesus alone. God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
- The Evidence of Salvation -The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit. (Romans 8:18), The outward evidence to all man is life of righteousness and holiness. (Romans 6:22).
- Baptism in Water -The ordinance of baptism by a burial with Christ should be observed as commanded in the scriptures by all who have really repented and in their hearts have truly believed in Christ as Savior and Lord. In doing so, they declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in the newness of life (Matthew 28:19, Acts10:47, Romans 6:4).
- The Lords Supper -The Lords Supper consisting of the elements, bread and the fruit of the wine, is a memorial of His suffering and death and a prophecy of His second coming. (Luke 22: 17-20, 1st Corinthians 10:16,17, 11:23-32).
- Empowerment of the Holy Spirit- The doctrine of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is our distinctive. This truth explains the passion and power of our witness. Jesus promised His followers they would receive power from on high so that they would be His witnesses. We believe this truth is just as relevant today.
- We believe that the church is comprised of any person, anywhere in the world who puts faith in Jesus. The church itself is people who are empowered by God’s Spirit to be part of the mission of Jesus here on earth. The church is one global community, but has smaller, local expressions, such as Ebenezer Christian Fellowship. We believe that the church exists as a community of worshipers who are here to serve others, as we bring the love and hope of Jesus to the world around us.
- The pre-millennial Second Coming of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, is imminent and is the blessed hope of the church.
